Today is the last day of the water festival. Thousands of people from every province in Cambodia have flocked to the capital, Phnom Penh, for this years Water Festival.
259 dragon boats with around 15,000 racers from across the country took part in the competition. 10,000 security personnel have been employed to ensure security and safety.
SWIM Cambodia’s vision is to improve the safety of all who live in and around the water, in particular the most vulnerable to drowning, children. Water plays a significant role in the livelihoods of people living in Cambodia. We want children and their communities to feel safe and be safe so that water can be respected and celebrated.
